Following the success of our inaugural 5km swim in 2017, we have pleasure in annoucing the date for the next one - Saturday 1st September 2018. Much like our Ironman distance swim in the River Arun, this one will be 5km but with the tide all the way so it'll definitely be the quickest 5km you'll ever swim!

There are two categories: Fin Swim & Just Swim.

The Fin Swim category is just that, swim the 5km in a pair of fins to speed your way to finish.

Just Swim is for all our normal swimmers looking for another challenging swim.

We'll take you by coach to the start, drop you off at high tide and you make your way back to Shoreham on the tide.  You'll still have to negotiate the sandbanks & bridges for the quickest route and as you reach Shoreham you'll be swimming even faster.

The start time is planned for 3:50pm to 4:00pm, which is dependent on river and weather conditions, but our aim is to give you the best possibility of securing your personal best and having a great fun swim.

Prices and start times

All the usual REP safety cover will be provided, including RIBs, kayaks and safety spotters on the river bank. 

Race HQ is the Adur Centre, Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 5LT (by Norfolk Bridge on the A259). Registration and finish will all be at this location. Shoreham is about 8 miles west of Brighton and 7 miles east of Worthing.  Shoreham Town Centre will also be open and all within the foothills of the South Downs National Park.
