The Tour of Pembrokeshire is centred at Crug Glas Country House Hotel near St Davids (SA62 6XX) and takes place just after the Spring Classics over two days on the 20th and 21st May 2017. It is established as a must-do event for sportive riders from the UK and the near continent and it is twinned with the Tour of Brittany Sportive; Tro Bro Leon.
This will be the 10th Tour of Pembrokeshire and will feature four fabulous new routes over two days as a result of support from Pembrokeshire County Council, the greater involvement of local communities, the supporters and of course rider feedback.
The Tour really encapsulates all that's great about cycling; endless quiet country roads, breath-taking coastal scenery, challenging climbs, swooping descents and feed-stations with a magical atmosphere that showcase local produce.
It's no surprise that the Tour has some big name sponsors and was described by Chris Boardman MBE, who rode it in 2015 as a superb, really enjoyable event.
We are delighted to have appointed Results Base to manage the event's entry and timing systems. Their on-line entry is very user friendly and their timing system utilises a proven disposable helmet chip.
Distances and pricing
We welcome junior riders, indeed Josh Tarling was only eight when he first rode the Tour. He left the start in St Davids with Cyril Morris who was 80 on the 2012 event. Any rider under the age of 18 must be entered and accompanied by an adult - that means the adult creates the profile, adds the child as a rider and then enters both into the event. Adults who are accompanying young riders need to download and fill in this form and bring it to the event registration with them. We do not make refunds but riders can transfer their entry to another rider by emailing info@tourofpembrokeshire.co.uk.
