The Stirling Aquathlon is an established classic on the Scottish Racing Calendar and this year will run in conjunction with the Scottish Student Triathlon (SST) Aquathlon Champs and Stirling Triathlon Club’s first ever Aquabike event.

This Aquathlon is set within the grounds of one of Europe’s most picturesque University grounds, using the Scottish Swimming's elite training pool. These training facilities are also used by World and Olympic level triathletes and home for Scotland's elite triathletes.

Details of each race (including eligibility, start times and distances) can be found in the information/links below.

Race Information

The Junior Aquathlon is open to competitors aged from 8 to 16 inclusive (based on competitor's age at end of this year - please see below for further details). Please select the correct event for your age group.

Swim heat allocations will be available here before the event and copies available at registration on the day.

British Triathlon Federation rules and regulations apply, a copy of the latest rules can be found here BTF Rule Book

Junior Aquathlon

The Stirling Junior Aquathlon is now an established classic on the Scottish Calendar.

The junior course is totally traffic free, the run section is on grass playing fields ensuring competitor safety at all times. This is a similar course to the Junior Triathlon, which has run successfully at Stirling University over the last few years.

Triathlon age groups are based on age at end of the year. For example, if your 11th birthday is coming up this November then you'll race in the 11-12 age group, even though you'll only be 10 on the day of the race. This ensures that you race against the same people all year through.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for boys and girls in all age categories.
