An undulating 10k course out along the old A66 towards Embleton, with a challenging incline up the golf club hill. Once you’re at the top there is a short out and back section, after which it’s downhill to the finish line at Cockermouth School.
Please note that on-the-day entry and collection of race numbers will be from, Cockermouth School, CA139HF from 5.45pm to 6.45pm.
Car parking and facilities: There is ample parking at the school and toilet and changing facilities.
You can download the event route HERE, the course risk assessment and medical risk assessment will be available to view at race entry.
The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Under UKA rules the use of earphones is banned on open roads.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served at Cockermouth School following the race.
Prizes will be awarded at Cockermouth School for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners. Age category prizes will be awarded to the winner of each age group (if this is a top 3 finisher, the award will go to the next finisher on the day).

Individual entry is £8 with a £2 discount available to UKA members.
Subject to availability, on-the-day entries will be £10.
Please note that during the registration process your British Athletics/UKA membership will be checked and if valid the appropriate discount will be applied. Scottish Athletics and Welsh Athletics members can also obtain the discount by entering their membership number into the appropriate field.
An administration fee of £1 will be applied to each entry by our online entry system partner, Results Base.
