Welcome to the third running of the North Lakes New Year Half Marathon. Set in the base of the stunning Lorton valley, surrounded by Lakeland fells, the course itself is quite gentle by Cumbrian standards, on quiet rolling roads with no "major" hills.
Starting at 10.00 am on Sunday, January 5th, the event caters to runners of all abilities. If you want to go for an early season PB, complete your first half marathon or just burn off some of the winter festivities, then start your new year on the right foot.
The event sold out in 2019 so make sure you sign up early. See you all in 2020!

We would once again like to support Marie Curie, whose hospice in Newcastle Upon Tyne looked after Annalee Paterson who sadly passed away before the event in 2018. Annalee with her husband Robert were both members of local club Derwent AC many of who ran, assisted or volunteered at the inaugural event. We would like to keep the lagacy created with the inaugural event so please visit Robert Paterson's fund raising page visit the charity page. The event and its participants raised over £7,000 in 2018 which is a fantastic amount we would hope to add to.
