Unfortunately, we have made the decision to postpone the Arctic One Tri and Para Triathlon which was due to take place on 1st August and included the British Paratriathlon Championships and the British Aquathlon Championships.
We have not taken the decision lightly as the event means a huge amount to us and provides people of all abilities an opportunity to get involved in sport in some way, but the safety and welfare of the participants is our priority and we do not feel that we are able to safely run the event in line with the current British Triathlon and government guidelines (You can view the new BTF guidelines here: https://www.britishtriathlon.org/covid-19)
We have decided to postpone the event to 31st May 2021 and hope that you will all join us for the event which we hope to make better than we planned for this year!
We will automatically defer everyone’s place to next year’s event for free. You do not need to do anything further. This includes any additional purchases made such as event t-shirts.
Arctic One is pleased to be hosting our Tri and Paratri festival for the 7th year. The event as grown and is a celebration of sport with three different distances to try and both para and non-para waves.
We have added a few new events for 2019 and this year, as well as the triathlons, you can take part in an aquathlon (swim/run) or an aquabike (swim/bike). We will also host the British Paratriathlon Championships and the British Aquathlon Championships alongside our other events so it is a great opportunity to come and watch the country’s best athletes racing to be crowned national Champion and take on the same course!
The race takes place at the iconic Dorney Lake, Berkshire which hosted the Rowing at the Olympics in London 2012. The bike and run courses are around the lake on flat, closed roads!
The event is fully inclusive so it is a great opportunity to take part in some way, whether you are an experienced athlete or a complete novice, a para-athlete or not. We will have separate waves for Para-athletes and non para-athletes in most of the distances and an option of doing a relay with one or two others if you don't want to do the whole event. Teams can be a mix of people including para athletes so a relay is a great option for families all to take part.
All competitors who have entered as an individual in the aquathlon, para champs, sprint or super sprint will have the opportunity to take part in one leg of a relay in the super duper sprint for free.
British Championships
Entrants for the British Paratriathlon Championships and the British Aquathlon Championships who are not current BTF members or who fail to meet the Paratriathlon gradings will be automatically transferred to the equivalent open event. These will take place at the same time as the Championship event but you will not be considered eligible for the National Awards.
Please note, if you have registered for the race using a BTF membership number you MUST present your membership card at registration or you will be required to pay a supplement for a Day Licence.
An administration fee of 5% will be applied to each order by our online entry system partner, Results Base.
Family Fun Run
This is 1.5k inclusive event for runners of any age or ability. Runners under the age of 8 will be allowed to enter free of charge but must complete an entry and must be accompanied by a paying adult runner.
