Bassetlaw Triathlon Terms and Conditions of Entry

I know and understand that participating in a road based event is a potentially hazardous activity. I confirm that I am medically fit and properly trained and agree to abide by any decisions of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete. I accept all risks associated with participating in this event, including to but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, effects of the weather, traffic and the condition of the race surface. All such and related risks being known and appreciated by me. I agree to abide by the rules set out by British Triathlon Federation BTF and I have read and understood the race information available on sprint.bassetlawtriclub.co.uk. I confirm that I accept full responsibility for ensuring that all information entered regarding my entry, either via the online entry system or paper entry, is correct.

Having read and understood this waiver and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I for myself and any participants I am responsible for, waive and release, race organizers and volunteers, and all sponsors, their officers, employees, agents, representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind resulting from my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.

Photographs

I grant permission to all foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for legitimate purposes. I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished electronic, photograph, or printed matter that may be used in conjunction with them now or in the future.

Event Cancellation

If the event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond the control of the Organisers due to unforeseen, naturally occurring events that were unavoidable, including an ‘act of God’, the Organisers will issue a full Credit Note to the value of the original entry fee or transfer the Competitors entry to another event where requested to all Competitors with a confirmed entry. If an event is cancelled by the Organisers for others reasons, the Organisers will offer a full refund to all Competitors with a confirmed entry.

Right of refusal for entry

The Organisers retain the right to refuse or revoke entry to any Competitor, where they believe that accepting the entry could prejudice the event, the promotion of the event, organisation of the event, their sponsors, associates or staff. This right of refusal extends to include applications where acceptance is considered by the Organisers to be likely to infringe upon the enjoyment of any persons connected with the event, including staff, marshals, volunteers & other competitors.
