We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we know that for some of you it's still too early to get out there and participate in an event. We have the solution for you, welcome to the Outbreak Summer Series!

This virtual event runs from the 24th August to the 30th September and consists of two separate distances; 5k and 10k. Complete these two distances and upload your times within this time period and we will send out your Summer Series medal with the Outbreak ribbon.

There is no set route: run around your favourite park, home town, woodland, beach or stick to the treadmill. It doesn’t matter how fast you are, just make the distance.

Once you have entered the races you will be able to start uploading your finish times as soon as you complete the distance. You will be able to log in and view how everyone else is getting on and see the leaderboard at any time.

You can also upload a picture of your timing device for authentication, link URLs to your timing device and update your times with better ones if you improve throughout the course of the event.

Every runner who completes both challenges will receive a Summer Series medal with the Outbreak ribbon.

Plus, there will be awards for overall winner, second place, third place and first female which will be sent out in October after the event has concluded.

Your final time must be entered before 11.30pm on Wednesday 30th September to be included in the final results.
