The Doko Challenge is excited to be returning in 2021!

This unique 5km race will see runners lacing up their Gurkha boots, pulling on a Nepali Doko basket, and taking on the ‘Bravest of the Brave’.

Based on the traditional Gurkha recruitment race, this 5km run takes place on an undulating yet scenic route through Wimbledon Common and Putney Heath on Sunday 6 June 2021. Participants choose from an option of three weights to carry along to route in their Doko Baskets- 5kg, 10kg and 15kg. Just to make it a dash more difficult, we’re challenging you to beat the Gurkha recruitment time of 46 minutes!

Whether the time is beaten or not, a deliciously chilled Kukri Beer will be waiting for you at the finish line along with your well-earnt medal!

Additional Info:

All participants must be 18 years of age or above, further detail will be posted on our website and Facebook page, final race detail will be posted closer to race day.

Volunteers are always welcome! Whether you want to commit a whole day or the minimum (2 hours), there are a number of things for you to get stuck in with.
