Wild Deer’s Lambton Castle X-Trail Events take place in the truly outstanding private grounds of the Lambton Estate, Chester-le-street, County Durham just off the A1.

There will be a 10k, 5k and 2.5k race on mixed terrain with some rough trails, firm paths and some cross-country type fields.

The estate is owned by the Earl Of Durham and this hidden gem is closed to the general public (except on Sundays for nature walks). Our runs will allow you to experience the estate in all its glory.

The courses are moderately undulating and you will spend time on trails, paths, woodland tracks, fields and some brief spells on the estate roads. For those who are missing Cross-country these courses will satisfy your fix! A fabulous event among some jaw-dropping scenery and, if you are lucky, some actual Wild Deers! All runners will recieve a wooden medal and an alcoholic or soft drink at the finish!

Due to current COVID-19 guidelines the races will be staggered starts with 6 runners starting every couple of minutes. This may be subject to change depending on restrictions at the time.
