We are delighted to bring you this superb 1/2 Marathon Event once again in 2022.

The iconic run starts at the World Heritage site of Housesteads Roman Fort on the Military Road and follows the Hadrian’s wall trail path for over 5 miles..

Runners will then head down to Newbrough and through woodland to the Tyne Riverside trail path which heads back to Hexham.

The finish will be at Tyne Green Country Park. For this A-B event runners will need to be dropped off at the start by car or we have a minibus shuttle from Hexham for an extra fee. 

A testing trail event with some outstanding scenery, the last 6 miles of which are fairly flat.

Finishers will be rewarded with a wooden medal, a technical T-shirt, snacks & a beer or soft drink.

Runners may be set off in groups of 40-50 due to the historic nature of the site and parking limits. The start time of the event may change due to restrictions in Hexham on a Sunday.

This year we are also holding the HADRIANS WALL - HEXHAM HALF MARATHON WALK. Walk from Housesteads along the wall for 5.5 miles before heading down to the Tyne and the second half back to Hexham. Walkers can start anytime between 8.30 and 9.30am and the cut-off is 6 hours. Why not raise some sponsorship for your favourite Charity for "WALKING THE WALL"
