Miles 4 Radiotherapy 2022

We are delighted that our fantastic Miles4Radiotherapy challenge is back for its second year.  Last year the response from our radiotherapy community was incredible, and we are hoping that 2022 will see the same high levels of participation, engagement and community spirit!

The event will go live on 1st July so you can start entering your distances from then until midnight on 2nd October. All you have to do is move and help us raise much needed funds for Radiotherapy UK.

Last year we had a whopping 50 teams consisting of nearly 800 participants covering 371,145.6 KMs \ 230,619.2 miles - that’s nearly to the moon!! (384,400 km / 238,855 miles). You can register as part of a team or an individual and this year we want to focus on the people who make up the wonderful radiotherapy community.  So we want to hear and celebrate your individual challenges, whether its walking 5km, running 15km or cycling 50km – it all matters to us.   

If you are flying solo but would like to join a team, the Radiotherapy UK & Friends is the one for you - made up of all manner of folks, we are a home for all! 

Radiotherapy UK is the only UK charity dedicated to improving radiotherapy treatment.  We believe every cancer patient in the UK should have access to the best radiotherapy treatment available. We receive no government funding, so its because of fantastic fundraisers like you and your teams that we are able to develop our services for radiotherapy patients and the workforce, and continue to campaign for improved access to high quality radiotherapy across the UK.

T-Shirt deadline has been extended until the end of June so still plenty of time to receive the exclusive 2022 Miles4Radiotherapy T-shirt!

How do I get involved?

Step 1. Register

Register your team or join as an individual. Registration is £20 per person and includes

• Exclusive Miles4Radiotherapy 2022 T-shirt
• Weekly motivation and training advice emails
• Playlists
• Opportunity to win some special spot prizes.

Step 2. Fundraise

We would be so thankful if you could raise some sponsorship as part of your challenge and help fund our work to support radiotherapy patients and the workforce. We appreciate every penny raised. To set up your just giving page go here and you can download our information pack here that can be distributed to your networks and teams to get everyone involved.

Step 3. Shout about what you’re doing.

Let everyone know about your challenge and raise awareness of Radiotherapy UK with our fab social media posts that you can download here and here
