River Arun 3.8k swim
2025 will be the 17th running of this classic event which is rapidly becoming an early sell out. This is a unique chance to swim the River Arun over the 3.8km Ironman Distance from Ford Marina to the RNLI at Littlehampton. The River Arun is the second fastest tidal river in the UK so you're virtually guaranteed a Personal Best as you start as the current starts to ebb in your favour. All the usual REP safety cover will be provided including the Harbour Master's launch, pilot boat, safety RIBS, kayaks and Sussex Search & Rescue Team on the river bank.
Wetsuits will be compulsory. We’ll take you by coach to the start holding point at Ford Church and then all you’ve got to do is swim back! Entry fee includes a donation to the RNLI, live timing, prizes and free photos. Catering at the Harbour Lights Café. Registration will take place at the RNLI Station in Surrey Street, Littlehampton, West Sussex, BN17 3BL between TBC and TBChrs. We suggest you initially aim to park at Coastguard Road (BN17 5LH), which is the close to the Harbour Park Amusements. From here it's only a short walk to the RNLI.
