Qualifier for the 2016 ETU Standard Distance Triathlon European Championships

MAN V WOMAN format for the STANDARD RACE | First across the line wins £100 (Man v Woman)

The 11th Worthing Triathlon continues to go from strength to strength. The race is located near the Yacht Club at Goring Beach, Worthing, which is between Brighton and Chichester in West Sussex. As usual we’ll be having Men v Women based on last year's times where the first across the line, male or female, will win an overall £100 prize.

The sea quality has been excellent over the last 10 years. The tides and currents can affect swim times. This is a standard and sprint distance triathlon with a 1.5km/750m sea swim, 41km/21km undulating bike and 10km/5km promenade run, with the option of a relay triathlon for novices or those injured. The bike course is undulating with no significant hills but a long drag out of the town to the turn round before a fast return leg. The run is dead flat on the promenade. The race HQ is on a large expanse of grass adjacent to the beach which is regularly used by Kite Surfers, this is where the Catering Marquees and Trade Stands will be situated.
