Event Information

Start – 11:00am

Location – Wetheral Village Community Hall, Wetheral, Carlisle CA4 8HE

Facilities – Toilets for both male/female are available. Parking is available onsite although there is plenty available in the surrounding streets. A baggage lay-down area will be available. Light refreshments such as tea, coffee etc. will also be available free for competitors and a small charge for spectators.

Race Numbers – Race numbers, timing chips, etc will be issued at race registration. If any updates are required to the race information they will appear on the Sport in Action home page.

Registration – 9:40am to 10:40am

Course

The route starts at the close to the Wheatsheaf Inn in Wetheral and finishes close to Wetheral Community Hall. Best described as undulating, the course starts at an elevation of 193ft and has a maximum elevation of 233ft over the two-ap 10mile course you will gain approximately 389ft. Athletes are requested to follow the race director’s instructions and be aware of the dangers of cars and cyclist. See link below for map of route.

Risk Assessment – A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ on race day together with maps of the route, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No TBA).

Race Safety Briefing – The race briefing will take place at 10:45am.

Prizes

Prize presentation – Prizes for the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Male and Female finishers will take place approximately 20mins after the 3^rd Male or Female competitor has finished. The remaining prizes will be presented when the last person crosses the line.

Prizes – 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Male & Female. Age Group prizes will be awarded as follows: Male or Female age groups with less than 15 competitors 1^st Place only; Male or Female age groups with 15 or more competitors 1^st and 2^nd place; and Male or Female age groups with 25 or competitors 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd prizes will be awarded.

Any age grouper that finishes in an overall prize position (1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd Male or Female) will receive the overall prize. That age group prize will then roll down to the next person in that age category. The third place prize will not be less than the age group winner.

Prices

Up to March 24^th: UKA Members £16.00, Non UKA Member’s £18.00

After March 24^th: UKA Members £17.00, Non UKA Member’s £19.00

Please note that during the registration process your British Athletics/UKA membership will be checked and if valid the appropriate discount will be applied. Scottish Athletics and Welsh Athletics members can also obtain the discount by entering their membership number into the appropriate field.

An administration fee of 6% will be applied to each order by our online entry system partner, Results Base.

Event limits – 300 (entrants must be 17 or older)

Withdrawals Policy

Up until March 8^th, 2018 all withdrawals will subject to a 50% charge to cover the costs of processing the entry and refund. After this date no refunds will be given.
