Nicol of Skene Westhill 10k Fun Run

Following the success of the Nicol of Skene Westhill 10k in 2016 and 2017, we are delighted to open entries for the 2018 event. This is a fun event organised to promote active participation in sporting events and wellbeing for all. Your safety during the run is paramount and, with the co-operation of Aberdeenshire Council, road closures have been organised for the duration of the event. A chip timing system will be in operation and results will be available immediately post race via printer, text or website. The course will be marshalled with water stations and distance signage in place. Prizes will be on offer for 1-2-3 finishers in each of the race categories and all participants will receive medals, T-shirts and more.
Entry Fees: 10k race £16 for Scottish Athletics members / £18 for non Scottish Athletics members.The SA discount will be subtracted after your membership number has been validated. £1 of the entry fee will be taken as a donation to sensationALL, our partner charity. The children's races are free to enter. In addition to the Primary School races, these is also a 2.5km event for Secondary School children under the age of 16.

Refunds and exchanges: There will be no refunds. Exchanges will be processed entirely at the discretion of the race organisers.

Event Registration: On the day in Westhill Academy, opening at 7.45am
Car Parking: Parking will be available at Westhill Academy
Race Numbers/Packs: These will be collected on the day. They will not be posted prior to the event
Changing: Limited facilities will be available at Westhill Academy and Ashdale Hall. A bag drop will also be available at these locations but the organisers accept no responsibility for loss of clothing or equipment.
Toilets: Ample toilet facilities are available at the Ashdale Hall. Limited toilet facilities will be available in Westhill Academy.
Runner Conduct: To ensure safety, runners are required to obey the marshals and race officials instructions at all times.

The 10k event is open to all ages (15+) and abilities. Prizes will be offered for race categories below.
Senior - 15 to 39 years old
Veteran - 40 to 49 years old
Super Veteran - 50 to 59 years old
Vintage - 60 years old +
CNOOC Nexen Junior Fun Runs
The CNOOC Nexen children's races are free to enter. In addition to the Primary School races, these is also a 2.5km event for Secondary School children under the age of 16.
Kids fun runs will take place prior to the start of the 10k at 10.00 am. Race times to be confirmed. The Primary Runs will take place on the Westhill Academy playing fields. All kids will receive a race number on the day and a medal on completion. Prizes will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Boy/Girl in each of the junior runs. The 2.5km route for the Secondary (S1 - S4) is illustrated below.
