The Gecko Gathering arrives at Scorrier House near Redruth this August Bank Holiday weekend!
This secluded private estate tucked away within the heart of Cornwall, Scorrier House is renowned as a premier wedding venue and home of the Great Estate Festival !
Starting and finishing in front of the house itself, on Saturday 29th August 2020 we will run 2 x 5k and 2 x 10k trail runs around the estate. The course is a 5k loop comprising of a mixture of grass and trail, you won’t have to scale Mount Kilimanjaro but it’s not flat! (You won't have to navigate all of the equestrian cross country course either...)
In order to help keep this event Covid Secure we will have 4 small trail events held independently of each other.
- 5k race heat 1 - 1pm.
- 10k race heat 1 - 2.30pm.
- 5k race heat 2 - 5pm.
- 10k race heat 2 - 6.30pm
There will be a maximum of 26 runners in each race, registration for each event will be independent and 30 minutes prior to the start. Temperature checks will be taken at race registration, entry will be online only, with no entries on the day at race registration.
Social distancing will be maintained at race registration, race start and race finish. Whilst on the course runners are reminded to maintain social distancing unless running in designated social bubbles. Starts will be individual, with 5 second intervals in between each runner.
Every runner will receive a Gecko Gathering medal with the Scorrier House 2020 ribbon!
