VO2 Max Racing Events are pleased to announce that the 2021 Warmseal Woodhorn Museum Triathlon has been selected to host the ITU World Standard Distance Triathlon Qualifier and the Triathlon England Standard Distance Triathlon Championships. The event is located within the unique historic scheduled ancient monument of Woodhorn Museum national archives and the stunning QE2 Country park. The venue hosted the British Triathlon age group championships and an ETU Standard Distance Triathlon European Championship Qualifier in 2019, this event has everything you need for a great day of racing.

The swim will be in the warm, shallow, freshwater QE2 Lake set within the park grounds. The bike route will take you out of the museum grounds along to the coastal route through Widdrington Village, before sweeping onto the coast and along to the beautiful Cresswell village with some breath-taking views along the coastline. The run will be on the footpath that winds its way through the woodland and open grasslands that surround the lake. The run passes by the finish line within the museum at the end of each lap making this ideal for spectators to cheer everyone on to a great finish with a big smile. The Warmseal Woodhorn Museum Triathlon is an ideal event for individuals and relay teams of all abilities, and you should be guaranteed a great event.

We are expecting a ‘sell out’ event attracting a top-quality field and a wide range of abilities. It will be fabulous again. If you are a first timer or new to the sport, there’s no need to be concerned about entering. We look after everyone regardless and will be with you all the way around the course. It’s fun and accessible for all ages and abilities to take part in, and you can be assured that there will be plenty of other triathletes of a similar ability to you taking part.

The Warmseal Woodhorn Museum Triathlon is one of only a few events in the country to have attained the Triathlon England 3 Star Mark of Quality. This is a great achievement for the event team, and we pride ourselves on this and our continuing efforts to improve the standard of events in the North East Region.

• The entry fee for Non Home Nations Members includes £6 to cover Triathlon England Day Membership.
• All Home Nations Members must present their race licences at registration or pay a £6 Day Membership fee (not applicable to Relay Teams).
• A booking fee of 5% will be applied to each order by our online entry partner, Results Base.

The minimum age for the Sprint Distance is 15 years old on 31st December 2021, and for the Standard Distance event is 17 years old on 31st December 2021. Please note that all Youths (under 16 on 31st December 2021) must hand in a signed parental consent form at registration. The form can be downloaded from the event web page.
