2023 will be the seventh running of Ultra:5K, a unique race format which introduces the element of strategy into your running. It takes place on Sunday 9th July 2023, at Box End Park in Kempston, Bedfordshire.

There are two distance options for Ultra:5K individual entries: a 5 x 5K (five laps of 5K, on the hour, every hour, for 5 hours), and a 3 x 5K (three laps of 5K, on the hour every hour, for 3 hours). The 5K route will be officially measured and certified. The event winners will be decided based on the fastest accumulative time over the five or three races.

Participants have one hour to complete the 5K and recover before the next mass start. If you run a 20 minute 5K, then you have 40 minutes recovery before the next 5K to recover. Equally if you take 40 minutes to run 5K, you have 20 minute recovery time before the next race start. For full details, see our website.

Between the races there is a holding area with food and drink available, as well as the option of having soft tissue work, stretching and massage. All included in your entry price.

Runners must be 17 or older on the day of the event.
