Take part in one of the UK’s oldest swimming races hosted by the oldest continuously running swimming club in England. Approx 1K swim between the historic piers in Brighton.
There is a Race section and an Experience section for people who are just not competitive.
Note that in the event of a postponement due to weather/sea conditions this event has a backup date of September 17th.
The Pier to Pier Race
- 1Km swim (120 swimmers)
- Mass in-water start at 10.30am
- Scratch race with the winning categories as below
- Any swimwear is allowed (no fins)
- Minimum age: 14 (must be 14 by 15th July 2023)
- 14-17 year olds are required to confirm they are part of a swim club and are a member of Swim England during the entry process

- Team: fastest four swimmers from one club (any age)

Non-binary
The Pier to Pier Experience
- 1Km swim (250 swimmers)
- Swimming in waves 5 minutes apart from 9.20
- Open to swimmers age 18 and over in any swimwear (no fins)
- Non competitive swim
