National Trust Gondola

New for 2023! We have teamed up with the National Trust and their historic Steam Yacht Gondola to provide 3 special "spectator" sailings available on each swim day to allow spectators to get out onto the water alongside our swimmers.

Gondola will pick up Chillswim spectators from Coniston Pier and then head down to the southern end of the Lake (near to the swim start) before returning back to Coniston Pier, allowing spectators to see swimmers in the water on their way out and again on the return. Spectators will be able to give the swimmers a morale boosting mid swim cheer and a wave by keeping a look out from onboard the Gondola!

Places on each sailing are limited to ensure that every spectator gets a good view. Each sailing is approx 1 hour.

Children aged 5 & under can travel for free with a paying adult but you will need to book a ticket for them.

IMPORTANT/USEFUL INFORMATION:

Gondola will depart from Coniston Pier on the lake shore in Coniston, opposite the Blue Bird Cafe, Lake Road, LA21 8AN.
Please ensure you are on the pier ready to go, 10 minutes prior to your departure time.
You will need to show your booking confirmation email to the Gondola staff prior to boarding.
Dogs are welcome on board.
There are no toilet facilities on the Gondola but there are public toilets less than 80mtrs from the jetty.
Due to the size of Gondola, it is not possible to take pushchairs on board unfortunately.
