We have had an unexpected significant late demand for places for this popular race. Capacity for the race is very much driven by factors such as having to order tee shirts and medals up to 4 months prior to the race. This meant the race reached full capacity some 13 days before race day.

Due to the overwhelming late demand we have looked at how we can fairly allow those wanting a place to take part in the race. In our decision to open up a small number of additional places we have adopted a fair and open process so everyone knows what they are signing up for and what to expect on race day.

We have managed to source additional numbers/timing chips to allow those wanting a place to still take part and enjoy the wonderful occasion with 4 bands on the run, 3 water stations, pacers, a lovely finish area with activities in People's Park and not forgetting a donut after you have finished. We have however not been able to source additional tee shirts and medals in advance of race day.

This means in the interest of fairness that we are offering up a reduced price entry on the understanding you will not receive a medal and tee shirt on race day. We are trying our best to source some more, we will e mail you in the days after the race and subject to availabiity offer up a medal and tee shirt for sale. Please note there is no guarantee we will be able to do this.

Our offer is a reduced price entry of £16 non club members, £14 UKA  club members.
A medal and tee shirt should they be available will be posted out at a cost of £14 to include p and p.
This is fair and takes the total price close to what the late entry fee was.
There is a small card process fee added onto this by a third party provider.

We respectfully as that if you take up this offer you do not ask any of the volunteers for a medal/tee as this will be unfair and prevent anyone who has paid the full price from receiving their mementos.

Your runner number will be endorsed accordingly to reflect this.

Runner numbers can be collected as follows

Saturday 1st June from the bandstand in People's Park between 230pm and 530pm
Race day from Great Grimsby Town Hall 730am onwards. Please use the race car parks in the town as the roads in the vicinity of the town hall will be closed on race day.
