2024 PIM Running Festival at Crathes Castle

The National Trust for Scotland invites you to join us for the Half Marathon, 5k and children’s 1.5k race event, sponsored by PIM, at the beautiful Crathes Castle Estate on Saturday 14th of September.

Starting and finishing on the lawn in front of Crathes Castle, the PIM Half Marathon route takes you out onto country roads to the North and East of the estate grounds. Runners will head out towards the estate of fellow National Trust for Scotland property, Drum Castle, eventually turning and heading back in a loop towards the finish line. Most of the route is on quiet back roads with a couple of level, off-road farm track sections.

The 1.5km and 5km events share the same start and finish with the Half Marathon, however these shorter distance routes remain within the scenic grounds of Crathes Castle providing a good challenge for all levels of runners.

Prizes will be awarded for each event, including specific categories for the over 50s over 60s and over 70s age groups for the Half Marathon. All competitors will receive a medal and event t-shirt at the finish line.

Registration for all events will open at 9.30am, closing at 12.00 noon before the Half Marathon. The following age restrictions are in place for each race:

PIM 1.5k – P1-P7 - Start time 10.15am
PIM 5k – Age 12+ - Start time 11.00am
PIM Half Marathon – Age 18+ - Start time 12.30pm

Runners and spectators alike will have an enjoyable and fun-filled day out with all entry fees helping support the invaluable conservation work of the National Trust for Scotland.
