EpicMan is the ultimate middle distance (half Iron) triathlon, based at YMCA Lakeside, on the shore of Lake Windermere. The 1.9km Swim takes place in the clear waters of Lake Windermere and is a single lap course. The 90km cycle takes place on undulating roads around the South Lakes and the half marathon will be a looped course within the grounds of YMCA Lakeside, providing great spectator support. We also have a fantastic standard distance course (1500m / 40k / 10k) & sprint distance course (750m, 25k, 5k) on the same day. There will be lots of things going on at the race venue, come and join us for an EPIC day of triathlon!

Registration

Registration is on Saturday 19th September between 1pm and 4pm at the race venue. There will also be emergency registration for those unable to register on the Saturday which will take place on Sunday morning at at the race venue from 5:30am to 6:30am. Please be aware that social distancing measures will be in place on race weekend and you might find yourself having to queue for longer than normal whilst waiting for registration. Please allow for additional time and try to register on the Saturday wherever possible

What do I need to enter the event

• A roadworthy bike and recognised cycle helmet
• Suitable trainers for mixed terrain (grass & hard/compact trails)
• You must be medically sound and if you have any history of illness or injury, consult your GP beforehand.
• You must be 19 years of age in the event year (middle distance) or 17 in the event year (standard distance) or 15 in the event year (sprint distance)

How much to enter

The cost to enter EpicMan Middle Distance Triathlon is £94 for a solo entry and £114 for a relay entry (team of 3). This includes your BTF day license insurance. If you are already a member of the British Triathlon Federation, you already have this license as part of your BTF membership and will receive a £5 discount at the time of entry upon inputting your membership details.

The cost to enter EpicMan Standard Distance Triathlon is £64 for a solo entry and £84 for a relay entry (team of 3). This includes your BTF day license insurance. If you are already a member of the British Triathlon Federation, you already have this license as part of your BTF membership and will receive a £5 discount at the time of entry upon inputting your membership details.

The cost to enter EpicMan Sprint Distance Triathlon is £54 for a solo entry and £74 for a relay entry (team of 3). This includes your BTF day license insurance. If you are already a member of the British Triathlon Federation, you already have this license as part of your BTF membership and will receive a £5 discount at the time of entry upon inputting your membership details.

Entries will close either at noon on the Thursday prior to the event or when the event fills, whichever occurs first.
