Round 1 of the Petzl Night Trail Running Race Series takes place at Delamere Forest. The start and finish venue is based from the Whitefields car park in Delamere Forest, just a short drive from the main visitors centre. As with all our night runner races, fancy dress is actively encouraged and the theme for Delamere is “Spooky Halloween”. Delamere is a great trail running venue and the course will be marked with reflective signs. All you need is a head torch to light your path and some ‘grippy’ shoes to deal with the mud! There’s a free kids event with medals for all finishers so bring the family and enjoy and EPIC night out at Petzl Night Runner Delamere Forest.

What do I need to enter
The route is fully marked with reflective signs, but you will need a good quality head torch or hand held torch to light the track ahead so you can safely get round the course. The terrain is varied and often very muddy, so road shoes are not adequate. Ensure that you have good quality trail or fell type shoes, with an aggressive tread. As it’s winter, you’ll need warm clothing and we recommend everyone carries or wears a wind or waterproof jacket. The minimum age for the 10k event is 16 on the day, although there is a free 1k event for young children on the night.
How much to enter
The cost to enter the Petzl night trail running race is £25, which includes car parking, your t-shirt and a finisher’s medal. Entries will close either at 12 noon on the Friday prior to the event or when the event fills, whichever occurs first.
Can I run with my dog
Unfortunately it is not possible to run with a dog in this event. They are more than welcome as supporters ,with well behaved owners, at the start /finish area but please do not take part in the race with your dog.
Included within your entry is
- Glow in the dark finishers medal
- NightRunner finishers T-shirt
