Start time: 10.00am for the competitive folk with a more relaxed, fun run start at 10:10.
Start & finish: Candleston Car Park, Merthyr Mawr, Bridgend, South Wales
Distance: 10km (approximate!) under (Welsh Athletics Race licence applied for)
Terrain: Multi-terrain (Sand, Track, Road, Field)
Topgraphy: Various (dunes, hills, flat).
Traffic free?: No, two sections of the race are along public highway which are very well marshalled.
Online entry only: £20 for affiliated runners, £22 for non affiliated runners.
At the finish: We will have water and snacks (what they are tbc) at the finish plus hot soup and bread roll.
Tee Shirts and Hoodies: You can, if you register before midday 1st November, order a technical tee (£8) or hoody (£21), both will be Pudding Race branded and tee shirt will have a list of signed up runners as at 1st November 2021. Please collect on the day of the race or we will donate to charity.
Please note that during the registration process your Welsh Athletics/UKA membership will be checked and if valid the appropriate discount will be applied.
Scottish Athletics and British Athletics members can also obtain the discount by entering their membership number into the appropriate field.
An administration fee of 6% will be applied to each order by our online entry system partner, Results Base.
Please note that you will only be able to enter a maximum of TWO runners per order during the entry process. You can, of course, place multiple orders but this limit is to allow a fairer distribution as we know the event sells through really quickly.

Race memento: a Christmas Pudding, of course, although this year you can choose to donate the value of your pudding to Foodbank instead!! Plus, for a small fee you can also have a technical T-shirt or hoody with profits from both going to a local good cause.

The reduction in fees is only available to runners who are affiliated to an athletic council such as Welsh Athletics or UK Athletics. Runners who claim the reduced fees and are not affiliated may be refused entry when entry checks are conducted.

If the event is cancelled due to bad weather we will not try to organise an alternative date but have taken out an insurance policy to be able to refund your entry fees, but not the processing fee or any other goods purchased. If the event is cancelled all Christmas Puddings will be donated to Food Bank. If we are unable to go ahead due to Covid-19 guidance we will re-schedule the event for spring 2022 as the insurers will not cover for Covid-19 issues.
The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted as the race is not wholly closed to traffic. – this rule is for your own safety – you may need to hear instructions from marshals. Anyone seen using headphones will be disqualified.
